You change but yet you change not.
Just as we have four seasons of the year in our external world, spring, summer, fall and winter; we also have these same seasonal patterns inside of us.
Our inner spring time of our lives happens when everything seems to be blooming in our lives, when opportunity for our growth appears in every area of our lives. Then comes our inner summer where all of the gains that we made during the spring of our lives appears to be expanding and maturing; then comes the fall time of our lives where all of our gains appear to be fading; then comes the winter time of our lives where all of our gains appear to be lost. Therefore, we must observe our lives, be keenly aware of what’s going on in our lives, and be conscious of what thoughts enter our minds at each moment. Bad behaviors and attitudes that we thought we had outgrown or overcame sometimes resurfaces again and again. But King Solomon of the King James Version of the bible said “so as it happened to a fool so it happened to me, vanity, vanity, vanity” said the wise preacher, all is vanity. Don’t get depressed with your observation of self for you will notice that many different kind of thoughts come and pass into positive and negative moods. Accept life as the universe manifested it (reality). An old familiar proverb states, change the things you can, accept the things that you cannot change and the wisdom to know the difference between the two. It is nothing wrong with your data (memory) that you have gathered in the objective parts of your life, use that data that your brain has gathered, use it to problem solve your inner conflicts like you use your data on your computer for your brain is also a computer. So you can pull that data up when needed, it’s not you it’s the data regarding your life events that you have gathered, use it don’t let it use you, live in the present , the data is from the past; don’t get confused it’s not you only gathered data. Always remember the self is never satisfied, it will continue to make noise. If you continue to watch your thoughts, the talking in your head as you continue the head talking will start to dissipate. It’s like bringing a light into a dark room, you can’t do anything about your thoughts directly, but watching your thoughts is like shining a light into a dark room, just like you can’t do anything about darkness itself, you simply let the light in and the darkness will dissipate. That’s why Jesus said, “Watch as well as pray”.
